Then it’s time for a mold inspection.
We start by listening to your concerns.
We begin by looking at the entire area, inside and out. Areas of possible or probable mold growth are identified. A physical inspection of the inside and outside are done and areas of probable mold growth are identified.
A testing strategy to determine what kind of mold and how much of it there is, will be discussed. With your agreement, mold testing is done.
A few days later (or earlier if needed) the lab results are back and we have a conversation usually by phone. We then send out our initial findings with the lab results. This is usually done by email.
We never discuss your project with anyone else without your written permission. If you do have a problem, we welcome a conversation or two with your chosen contractor. The one exception to this company policy is a subpoena.
If there is a mold problem our report will tell you what caused the problem and general mold remediation instructions. Mold cleanup should be done by licensed, trained, and insured professionals. Always get three quotes. Show them your report. See a few Bay Area companies here.
We expect your questions during this process. We are here to help! Every project is unique. The better you understand all the phases of mold remediation and final clearance testing, the better decisions you can make.
